A friend acquired two drill presses from a local manufacturer that was cleaning out. He kept one for himself and offered this one to me free of charge. It came with a 3ph 220v motor. I replaced that with a 1/2hp 1ph motor I purchased off of C-List. I stripped the whole machine to bare metal and painted it with two coats of Rustoleum Navy (Just a color I like). I polished the bare metal pieces with a wire wheel on my bench grinder. It didn't come with an arbor or chuck. I purchased those from Grizzly. The whole project took about a week and a half to complete and just under a $100 total in parts. I consider this a good investment.
