I acquired this Jointer and an American Scroll Saw from a lady whose husband had passed away and she was moving to a smaller place. I tried to pry out other info or details about these tools but she didnt seem to know much about them. They were obvously taken care of and had been used in the recent past from the condition and tell tale saw dust. The Jointer is a Driver Line unit and I found it in a 1931 Sears catalog on OWWM. Depth of cut was adjusted through use of a "Thickness Plate" which was no where to be found when I bought it. Models after 1931 used the now standard adjustments. The jointer is in good condition, No rust, but the fence has a crack in the area where the mounting bolts pass through it. I have several more pictures of the jointer if anyone needs them. There is one other unit in the picture index like this one. I am working on two other restorations right now so this will probably sit for awhile. I wonder if anyone has a complete Driver Line set up on a table top as shown in the catalogs?
