I saw this saw on CL and wasn't sure if I REALLY was interested in it since it was 125 miles from my home. After several e-mails back and forth with the seller, I finally decided that I'd go look at it---and IMMEDIATELY I knew that I wanted it. It was quite clean for a 53 year old saw, the motor sounded good and and the saw moved almost effortlessly in all directions. I doubt if the seller had had the saw very long because it needed a fence to be functional and because the blade guard wasn't installed when I bought it. Disassembling it for transport and re-assembling it once I got home was relatively straight forward, but as soon as I started it the circuit breaker in my garage popped--it draws 22 amps at 110 volts (the motor can be used either on 110 or 220 volts). The plate on the motor lists it at 2 Hp., 3450 RPM, Type CY8EE, and Model # C1808MG. The saw weighs-in at 370 pounds. The saw was listed on P.7 in Sears' December, 1956 catalog for $395. I believe that Parks (the manufacturer) sold the identical saw under their own badge as Model #99A-M2360F.
