Machine was aquired a couple years ago from a friend of a friend who had it given to him by an "old cabinetmaker".There is a jury rigged ,jackshaft, flapping belt affair that is supposed to power it(looks kind of plug-it-in-and-duck so haven't tried it out). It has no label or Mfg.name anywhere on it .Not even a number. I suspect it may be a military item.Lots of Navy stuff here in RI.Plan to get it up and running after I figure out more about it.
P.S. After some helpfull suggestions and info from OWWM members I am moving out of the Unknown Mfg. catagory and calling this a P. Blaisdell@Co machine. The legs are a match to Phin's lathe also the bed as far as I can tell. The headstock is a different main casting however bearing caps etc. look the same.Blaisdell was located in Worcester MA which is about 15 Mi. from where I got the lathe.
