Bought it from a guy who had it stored for about 20 years. He got it from a "wheeler dealer" who probably didn't actually use the saw except to make a few bucks.

It's in very good condition mechanically. No obvious cracks. The blade guides are from the Automatic Saw Company. Most of the Crescent catalogs show that this saw could have been ordered with an anti-friction guide for the top, but the bottom would have been a plain guide. So these may have been bought later as an upgrade.

The lower Babbitt bearing is not in bad shape, but the upper is shot.

Interesting point (to me anyway) is that the serial number for the saw, is also stamped on the bottom side of the table.
