The bandsaw was found listed on CL. It had been sitting under a canvas tarp for a long, long time so there was some rust. The dozen coats of paint however protected much of the saw from the weather. This saw, I came to find out was actually a metal bandsaw. There is a gear box on the back of the saw and the original guides could be adjusted to twist the blade to crosscut long material. A four step pulley was belt driven by a one horse motor that employed a light switch to turn it off and on. Everything was disassembled and primed, but I could not decide on a color so it got put back together in the primer state. The one horse motor was too small for wood chores, but I found a 5 horse motor for cheap. It's way bigger than is needed for the saw, but the price was right. The tires were replaced as were the guides. While I had everything apart I replaced a couple of the bearings as well. Most of you have seen the DW 20's so I'll spare the overall "before" photos and just show some of the details unique to this saw and there was no info to be found on this configuration at all. I'll post after pics one of these days.
