Nice little Red Fox 4 x 12 planer, came from the daughter of the original owner. He and his cousin started a small cabinet shop in the 30's, which was dissolved after a dispute some years later. This planer was part of the remaining inventory of machines which included Walker Turner: table saw, drill press, lathe, and scroll saw. This planer, the drill press, and the scroll saw were so well preserved that they were plug and play. The TS and lathe will need some parts to re-animate.
Everything is complete and original, even the drive belts. The paint is so good I am torn whether to refinish or not. This would make a nice little party piece all dolled up with new paint and flashing bright parts! Jury is still out.
I checked out the brochure on the mothership and saw the neat little chip collector / blower that was offered as an add-on for this. Would love to find me one of them. Anyone knows where one is LET ME KNOW
