Power-King (prior to Atlas acquisition) 4½ jointer, model 541.
Tables, base, fence and guard are machined cast iron.
All original.
The 541 jointer has the same center mounted fence as the 6101 accessory for the Atlas/Power-King 5010 belt disk sander.

>>HISTORY<<
April 2008:
I traded a Delta/Rockwell Homecraft 8½" disk sander to a fellow OWWMer for this jointer.

UPDATE-May2009:
Oiled the bearings and adjustment points, per the instruction manual.
Fence adjustments are smooth and easy.
Touched up the knives with a fine honing stone, but they need a good sharpening.
Mounted jointer to my wooden rolling test stand.
Powered the jointer with a 1955 Craftsman ½hp, 1750rpm motor, m/n 115.6962 and 4" pulley.
This is an outstanding little jointer and a joy to use.

UPDATE-Feb2017:
Disassembled shaft and cutter head.
Removed the original SKF 465898-A-ZZ double shield bearings, ½" ID, 32mm OD, 10mm width.
Installed new bearings-NTN 6201-½ double seals.
Filed flats on the cutter head shaft for the pulley and retainer.
(Pulley locates to the shaft Woodruff key in one location and a set screw 90° away.)
Hand sharpened the original knives on water stones: 220-800-1200-4000 grit.
Original knife size: 4½" long, 11/16" wide, 3/32" thick, 37° bevel.
Installed the knives .001" above outfeed table using a dial indicator.
Mounted jointer to my rolling wooden test stand.
Powered by a 115.7556 Craftsman ½hp 3450rpm motor on floating rail and 2¼" pulley.
Jointer runs and cuts smooth and relatively quiet.
