Browsing the local cl just looking at the listings, when I saw an ad for a Craftsman saw for $60, probably from the '70's. Picture showed extensions on both sides, had the fence and mitre gage, and said it had a 1/2 hp motor. Similar to one I just finished rehabing. So I called spoke with the fellow, found out it was his girlfriend's ex-husband's saw. Damn, this could get interesting. So I got directions and told him I would be there within the hour. Got there, met them and really couldn't believe this saw was in such good shape. Top needed cleaned up, but no rust or pitting, the stand was in pretty good shape, motor fine, fence ok. Can't pass up for $60. Pulled the motor, flipped her upside down and into the Element she went. When I got home, was happy to see it was plug and play. But....it's apart gettin spruced up.
