Bought this from an online local cassifieds ad the same day it was posted. Owner had been using it for a few jobs around the (very nice) house. He didn't seem to know anything about the machine's background but gave me 6 spare blades.
The motor appears to be a 1/3 HP Prestolite-Leland, according to the Mothership, "Canadian motor maker. The few reported examples are all 1 HP or less.". The motor is badly painted, a hideous red. The jointer seems in good condition disregarding the base. I plan to repaint and polish it up before it goes into my shop... final price was ~185 CDN which is about 150 US.
