Comments:
I do not own this machine. I am posting it for the archives.
It was originally owned by the Detroit Zoo and used in their maintenance shop.
It is currently (4May2009) for sale at a Metro-Detroit tool dealer.

The model 2400 appears to be largely fabricated from steel stampings, welded together.
The outfeed is fixed and part of the body. Only the infeed is adjustable.
The stand is a factory original.
The motor is 3-phase (no further details as it is deep in the cabinet).

>>UPDATE<<
On 16Apr2012, I received this email from Dan in Canada, "Just to let you know the Boice Crane jointer you documented on vintage machinery has found a new home. It has emigrated to Canada and is being used in a hobby woodworking shop. It still has the original 3 phase motor as I have a 3 phase power source. Thanks for the photo documentation of this machine. It certainly was interesting to stumble across it."
