My grandfather did second operation machine work, had this band saw and a sander for some jobs he did using phenolic material. A few of his smaller tools were kept after he passed in '74 in his shop. Sadly since then they just existed quietly. In December I needed to cut some aluminum, went to see what size metal blade I needed, and decided to give his tools some attention. The stand was much rougher by far than the saw, but stripped everything down, cleaned and painted. There is actually little wear on most of the parts, probably due to the fact the man loved oil. New tires, clean innards, a bit of oil and new paint and this saw is back just humming along. For what they are, they're nice little light duty saws.
