I recently acquired this machine from the Harlem Valley Mental Hospital's wood shop in Wingdale, NY. The hospital has been shut down for many years and is in the process of being prepared for demolition. The saw appears to have seen little use, and other than minor surface rust and faded paint, is in pretty good condition. When the picture was taken, the saw's main table and auxilary table had already been removed. The saw has a 3 hp motor rated at 690 RPM.
Restoration was recently completed, and those pictures have been added. Also, attached is a URL for Picasa photo storage that shows a lot of detail during the restoration of the band saw.
