This machines was sold on e-bay in Feb. 2003. Final bid was $323.97. Serial Number is 82788. Here is what the auction had to say about the machine:

You are bidding on a used 8" Jointer Made by Crescent Machine Co of Ohio. Crescent Machine is/was a Division of Rockwell Manufacturing of Leetonia OH. We just took this machine in as a part of a larger machinery purchase. It's an older model, but a heavy-duty one made in the USA of rugged cast iron construction. The name has a good reputation in the industry so we cleaned it up a little and tested it. It runs fine. The blades are all good and overall it's in pretty good condition. Since we don't have a need for it we offer with a low minimum and NO RESERVE! Partial crating for this machine is an additional $100, or we will load onto any suitable vehicle for free. Note that one photo shows the fence tilting mechanism, which needs the worm-type gear replaced if you require this feature. Also, due to its age, the buyer is solely responsible for any and all safety requirements or upgrades.
