Comments:
1460 Lathe w/countershaft, cast legs, delta planks, 3/4 HP Westinghouse Motor with delta label, compound slide, 4" and 12" tool rests, one tool rest holder, old style tailstock w/broken wrench, 3 jaw and 4 jaw non-delta chucks, 2 dead centers, and various homemade chisels.

Reversing drum switch was installed on side of headstock - with nice clean tapped holes - had not seen that in other owwm pics - is that something delta did when motor purchased new with lathe ?? otherwise someone else did a nice clean install.

Drum switch had been smashed, prior owner installed jumpers to demonstrate functionality prior to sale.

Motor, countershaft and spindle run smooth. Missing 4 step pulley on driven end of countershaft, Oversize single pully was installed in its place.

Paint in pretty good shape - some surface rust on accessories.

Intend to clean up, remedy the obvious, and use for a bit prior to any major overhaul.

First Lathe, First Vintage piece. OWWM has been very helpful with this adventure.

Thus far, I have:
- determined birthday year via owwm wiki listing ( 22-1498 = 1943 )
- replaced the broken furnas drum switch with a near identical switch purchased from an OWWM member.
- replaced the wiring from switch to motor due to insulation cracking
- researched step pully specs on OWWM
- unable to find new or used #720 series pully with 3/4" bore
- installed aftermarket 4 step that is close to spec #720 diams.
- purchased a pen mandrel and pen kit...and turned a pen....pretty cool
