I acquired this machine from the son of a cabinet maker in Columbus, Ohio who had passed away. It was used in his shop since the 1950's until his retirement in the late 1990's. He then used it at his home for personal use. The machine was in excellent mechanical condition when I purchased it, but it did require some cosmetic work. The Shaper runs extremely smooth with no significant run out. I have used it since I placed it into service and find it to be a very nice machine to work with.
