I acquired this this machine at a auction in Roxsbury section of Boston (summer of 2008).The company had been in business for around fifty years and had shut down because of raising union workers costs. The
saw and numerous other machines that i acquired were located on the third floor of the shop with a freight elevator that was inoperable. The riggers who were at the auction wanted $1000 per machine to moved them off the third floor. The City of Boston requires a license to operate a forklift or boom lift,
a special permit for blocking the street and sidewalk,a police officer present the whole time you are there working(you have to pay the officers wages),caution tape, cones and protective scaffolding. The cost can start adding up fast if you don't plan it out right.I staged all my machines on machinery carts next to the door and removed all the fences, guards and blades.I rented a forklift with a couple other guys and we helped each other to make everything go smoothly as possible. The saw has a direct drive 5 H.P.,220/440 volt,3 phase, ball bearing motor. It came with the rare cast iron 24" table extenison and cast iron support arm, rack & pinon fence, splitter, the rare horseshoe miter guage connector, both miter guages, both factory table slot fillers, stub and dado arbors. The saw has its orignal switch and starter. The saw is in very excellent condition and runs very good.
