I acquired this shaper at a auction of a woodworking shop that was closing down in Binghamton,NY.The shaper is a ball bearing, belt drive with 1 1/8" by 9" spindles set 24" on center. This shaper came from the factory designed for a countershaft or lineshaft set-up.The spindle speed was 5400 to 7200 R.P.M.
and the countershaft speed should be 1200 to 1400 R.P.M.,the countershaft tight & lose pulleys size should be 8" by 5 1/2"face.The last owners of this machine added Morse-Fairbanks 4 H.P.,220 volt,3 phase
electric motors to it.The shaper is complete and runs realy smooth. There is twenty holes drilled in the top for variest jigs they were using to do arched windowws & trim & doors.
