This is my first rebuild. Bought from a surplus company last year - looked well used but overall looked to be complete and in good shape plus the gearbox shifted fine. I ended up blasting and repainting, installed new bearings (with exception of gearbox - I just changed out the oil), new 1ph/220v motor, link belts, and urethane tires. The original green color was evident on inside of stand and main frame casting - this had been painted over at some point with blue. Some might call me nuts for not painting this the original color -but I just like the off white better than the original green. I'm happy with how this came out - it runs great and outperforms the larger/bigger import that I had owned previously but got rid of because of poor performance due to lack of frame rigidity. No frame rigidity issues now - gotta love the full cast iron frame on these old bandsaws!! Now I've got to look for another "must have" tool to rebuild...
