Recently bought a 34-457 right tilt unisaw with a jet lock fence from a friend. He bought the saw new about 1983. He didn't remember the exact date of purchase, but did remember he paid $1700 and it was shipped from Canada. A code stamped on the 3hp single phase motor is F683, which I believe indicates the motor was made in June of 1983. Not sure what the F means. For me this is quite an upgrade from my old Craftsman table saw I bought in 1984. I'm thinking this saw will be the last table saw I purchase. It is in great shape considering it is 26 years old, has been used very little over the years.
