Unknown history. I bought it from a guy that used it very little over the dozen years. The first potential buyer stated that the brushes were bad and didn't want to mess with it. I bought it for a reduced price--taking a gamble that I can fix it. Once home, noted that it is a cap start motor. The rumbling on startup is quieting down--but it need to be taken apart and cleaned. The over all length of the machine is just shy of 24". The base is 10.5" x 11". The switch was most likely replaced at some point (made in mexico).
