This is the result of reconditioning and painting of this Walker-Turner Co., Inc., Plainfield, NJ 6" Jointer. Ihave talked to several previous owners who believe it was military surplus. The sign, "USMC Air Station, Cherry Point, N.C." may confirm this. The base is unusual in design, weight and strength. It is complete except for safety guard. I used Rust-Oleum Smoke Gray paint and a lot of hand rubbing on the surfaces with a cench sharpening stone.
