Variable speed 6" drill press. Serial numbers are possibly F801 or F626. These also could be cast part numbers. Has cast-in patent numbers of Nov 12, 85: Sep 25, 85; Mar 18, 90; Oct 13, 91; Jun 12, 92. Speed and direction of rotation determined by location of horizontal wheel on vertical plate. Probably belt driven originally using different pulley on horizontal bar above motor. Brass tag has name of sales company: Carey Machine and Supply, Baltimore Maryland. Electric motor and light appear to be additions. Owned by Ray Deyo, Woodcraft Store owner, Richmond Va., and on display in store.
