This is a mid 60s GA. It has a 3hp, 3phase motor, which I power with a rotary phase converter you can see in the cabinet below the saw. This has a "medium" arm which is really a long arm and can crosscut 24". For crosscutting I use a Tenryu Aluma-Cut blade (TCG) which leaves glass smooth surfaces. The table is a Mr. Sawdust type with a difference. The top canitlevers quite a way in front of the base (I did not want the blade spinning in space past the end of a table) so it has steel bars epoxied in both laterally and from back to front. I have the original vertical grain fir top and an auxiliary top in storage along with the legs and an auto-return mechanism. Instea dof using the legs, I set this atop an adjustable leg cabinet/base and on the left side the base is supported on the end of the left outfeed cabinet by a 2x4 screwed into the side of the cabinet. In the gap between the base cabinet and the outfeed cabinet you can just see the tip of the blast gate lever sicking out. On each side is an eight foot long cabinet that serves as a outfeed table on which is an adjustable extension fence. The long arm will serve nicely for dado work on base cabinets.
