This machine originally acquired from an old Navy "Blimp" base (WWII era) in Houma, La . This base housed blimps that patrolled the Gulf of Mexico looking for German submarines during WWII. After WWII, this base was closed. A friend of my neighbor acquired it some time after the base closed and did nothing with it over the years. My neighbor was given this jointer in the 90's and did nothing with it over the next few years. My neighbor then gave it to me in 2000. Blasted, primed and painted it. Had babbit bearings repoured by Mr.Dick Gibbens and had all guards made for it, including belt guard and guard behind fence. I also had a mobile base/motor mount made for it. Shabby looking dust collection duct made from extra flashing left over from building my home. It now is powered by a 5hp 220V 1ph motor and is officially in use now. Dated this machine by searching through old catalogs on this site.
