Bought this machine from a guy who bought a trailer full of machines from a cabinet maker that had gone out of business years ago. The trailer had been sitting in a field for about 10 years. The jointer had no fence and a home made motor stand on a piece of plywood when I got it. I took it completely apart, repainted the stand and castings, found a fence on ebay and many other various parts from OWWM memebers. I made a motor mount out of angle iron and bolted it up just like the original. The motor did not work when I got it. Turns out the switch was so clogged with sawdust that it wouldn't turn on. Cleaned out the switch and the motor fired right up. I still don't have a blade guard and am in the process of making one. This is the most solid 6" jointer I've ever seen. Sorry the pics are so crappy, can't find my digital camera so these are off my cell phone.
