One can't swing a dead cat in Milwaukee with out hitting one of these. I keep telling myself two 4" jointers equals one 8"...right? Anyhow I spent way too much effort (time and money) on these but I had fun doing so. Using the "Delta dater" c/o OWWM I came up with the two dates. Machines virtually identical except for the fence and some finish on bare metal parts. Both bought from owners who had them since "way back when" and used them as they were intended - "putzing in the basement making stuff". One gets used and one takes up space. Perhaps I'll get to trade-up to a "real Delta" someday.
