Comments:
This was my Dad's jig saw that he had in the 1950's in his work shop. I inherited it when he passed away. It's been a great old saw, very heavy and solid. I repainted it and put it on a stand and reconfigured the motor set up for compactness. Weight of motor keeps tension on the drive belt. Says on tag that it was Made in Canada; but the Foster Mfg. Co was in Buffalo, 17, New York. Don't know what year it was made, I would guess the 1940's. I don't use it very much anymore, but it's always there when I need it and it works perfectly, like all the old Vintage machines do. Aug 9, 2013 update. Sold this old saw a few years ago as I don't do much woodworking anymore and hopefully the person that bought it will use it and then pass it on to another who will keep it working and alive.
