This machine was originally bought and used by the local school district (their ID sticker is still on the machine)and was sold to a woodworking shop in 1994 or 1995. The shop owner said for the past few years it received little use. I found it on CL. The owner was asking for offers and I bid $300. He ask when I could pick it up and I arrived with cash in hand and a Uhaul the next day. It has a 1.5hp 3-phase? Leeson motor, which if a 3-phase may be a problem, however it did run good at his shop. This is my first old arn, maybe more like "youthful" old arn, and first jointer. I want to refurbish and put it to use in my shop. My eyes may have been bigger than my knowledge of machinery, especially electricity, and spray painting. I love a good challange. I'm going to learn a lot.
