Advertised in the 1925 Woodworkers Tool Works catalog as a "portable bandsaw for wood or metal"...."When outside work is to be done, the machine is light enough to be taken on the job...". The Specification list indicates the saw tips the scale at 600 pounds. In addition to the 20" wheels, the saw also sported a 10 inch capacity under the guides.

The trade name "Syracuse" is the only manufacturer's description on this item, as well as on the sanders also posted in another listing.

Added to this entry is a Syracuse Sander Mfg. bandsaw seen posted on eBay in April of 2003. The last picture indicates that the saw featured a gear drive. i have requested more info from the seller.
