This sash sticker is now at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture in Tifton, GA. It was obtained from the Illinois Railway Museum woodshop collection, which obtained it from a donation made by Duane Shephard of New Century Millwork as the business was closing. He got it from the Illinois Traction System where it was used in their Decatur IL carshops. Based on manufacturing date they must have obtained used or from a predecessor like a horsecar company. There is no serial number as it predates the Fay practice (later) of casting in serial number badges. Originally a lineshaft machine, it had a second motor added sometime 1910-1920. An interesting variation of a molder, it sports a second or auxiliary table which is sloped and jigged to slot sash for rope tracks, and to also bore a hole for the sash rope knot. Also note what might at first appear to be a solid cast iron pulley guard sticking up at the rear of the machine. This drive pulley has iron hub and tires with the annular space consisting of ornately turned and polished mahogany.
The machine has a Dec. 10, 1878 Patent Date on it.
