This old workhorse was purchased from the Berkeley, CA outlet of MacBeath Hardwoods during September 2008 for $500. It was in service up until the time I purchased it. It had a fair amount of vibration which, as it turns out, is from a cracked casting on the upper blade raising/arbor assembly. The machine was just disassembled. It will be sand blasted and re-painted. An "after" picture will be posted when the project is complete. The saw is powered by an almost new Baldor 1 1/2 horsepower single phase motor. I will be "trolling" for a like-sized Delta motor with an end cap, as I would like the machine to be all original. The machine is badged Delta-Rockwell with a Pittsburgh address. This machine will replace my 18" Parks/Craftsman band saw [see picture index] that has served me well over the last 8 or 9 years.
