This is the Wallace jointer that I bought back in June (08)with the plan of getting it Ruckered to Arnfest and then east. It worked! With the help of Eric Tuck, Jonathan Martin, and Andy Roeper the jointer is now in New Hampshire.

This is a later model Wallace jointer with the heavy Wallace cast iron stand. It has a three knife direct drive semi-clamshell cutterhead running on ball bearings. The 1 hp motor is 3 phase, 3600 rpm, also ball bearings. The machine is in very good condition apart from the cutterhead guard. Although the guard is a nice design, Wallace made them from cast aluminum. I have yet to see one unbroken. The tables ride on square milled ways and are held in place by heavy coil springs. The fence is a nice design which is held by tabs cast as part of the front motor housing. It has a simple cam lock to adjust the fence angle.
