This came to me from a friend, free but in a pretty sorry state, particularly missing a number of parts. I didn't have many expectations for it, didn't really want it, and figured I'd likely just part it out. But as I looked at it a bit closer, it looked more and more like it could be returned to use without too much difficulty. I fabricated a makeshift post-lock assembly for the riser post, disassembled it for a good cleaning (but didn't paint), added a belt, and reworked all of the electricals including adding a functional toggle switch. Fortunately, the head casting had two threaded holes for some unknown purpose (perhaps a switch) that worked well to install an add-on switch assembly. It is missing the depth stop, which probably won't be found. In any event, after it all went back together, it turns out to be a pretty solid machine, tho I don't have plans or space to use it. A friend from work is likely to to buy it, meaning it won't be in my shop much more than about a week or so total.
