This was given to me by a guy who's dad left it for him. He was not a woodworker, so he just gave it away. No before pics, but it was in very good shape, with minimal rust. All original, with a 1/2 hp dual shaft motor.
Completely disassembled, cleaned/ painted, and built a new cabinet, and table extensions for it. The extensions were simply plywood, but I sanded them smooth and waxed them so they were slick. Seemed to work out nicely. New bearings all around, some polishing, and she's ready to go.
I really like these saws, even though they are only 8", the fence is nice, and the micro adjustment is stuff of larger saws. I didn't try to restore the miter gauge, just put a fresh coat of paint on it, and trued it up.
The saw has been sold to a guy who makes crafts and sells them, so the saw is happily working for a living.
