Comments:
Photo'd while in the wild, a Barnes table saw with wooden top in less than stellar condition. This saw adjusts the depth of cut by moving the infeed end up and down and locks with the eccentric in the detail.
This is at an antique shop in Milford, NY and I took a quick pic and had to scram because swmbo had to find a bathroom quick, so I didn't get much for details. A shame it has been left outside because it looked like it was all there, including fence and mitre. there are a couple of shots of the saw with the fence and part of the table top sitting on the right but it was placed on the correct position in other shots.
Ed Hobbs had this to add after viewing this entry:
"The saw you pictured is called a Combined Machine. It was offered as a basic table saw but you could add a scroll saw attachment and a drill or boring machine attachment. They worked very well and Barnes made and sold over 10,000 from about 1876 on. It went through several design changes making it into a more robust machine.

It appears that all of the foot powered parts are missing - a large flywheel and a treadle, which is common when you find them today. It was easy to throw all that away and add a motor and you still had a table saw that could be used."
