Comments:
I picked up this saw along with a 20 inch bandsaw from a lady in Norfolk VA. This is another ex navy machine and at one time was probably a shipboard saw because it still had 2 angle iron flanges that were bolted to the plinth and allowed it to be bolted down to the deck. It has several tags on it that show it originally came from California including a machinery dealer. It has the original 1.5 hp 3 phase motor and came with a disconnect switch, the mag switch and a red jewel light indicator on the front (could be very noisy on a ship underway so they probably needed some visual indication). Condition of the saw is fair to good, only indication of a previous repair is a weld to the arbor bracket on the back end that looks to be quite old. One thing the navy was good at was welding, so I am not too worried about it.
Update: Saw was up for sale for several months as a restoration canditate but is now being sold for parts.
