I got this from a retired boat builder in Connecticut. I was told the weight was about 800lbs. Luckily the seller had a pickup truck equipped with a winch. he was able to get it off the truck and winch it down the 25' ramp into my worshop in the basement. I used it for a few months until my shopmate ran some reclaimed wood thru it, nicking the knives on a hidden nail (we'll have no more of that, thank you). Knowing I had to eventually change the knives, I had my local machinist make me a new wrench to get the knives out. I designed a "T" shaped wrench about 12" long. It's proven to work great and I'm in the process of changing the knives now.
