I bought this table saw from a contractor who had three saws for sale. The other two were newer and were ready to go to work as they were. I wanted an older machine that needed some work . The motor wasn't attached and I'm not sure this is original , but it is a craftsman 1 1/2 hp motor. After I got it home and tore it down, I was suprised at what good shape the guts were in. Basically all I had to do was clean everything, lube it up and mount it on a stand.I did sand, prime and repaint it. I painted it hammered gold( not the original color).I was going to take my 8" craftsman off the combo that I have and mount this 10" on it,but this saw should be a stand alone machine.
