No real story behind this machine that I know of, other than the seller says it came out of Sequoia High School in Redwood City, CA. I'd been looking for a nice vintage 8" jointer for some time, found one from a local OWWM member. He was kind enough to swap out the 3ph motor that was in it with a single phase 1.5hp Baldor he had available, and I had a replacement CH switch I could use directly. So I brought it home and put it straight into use. The mechanicals have all been fully cleaned/restored, and I may or may not get around to painting it some day. The pea green is apparently from among all of the earliest machines following the switch from grey.
