I have been piecing this sander back together out of parts because I have expensive tastes and have had no luck finding any such sander in my territory for less than a bajillion dollars. So far as I know, the welded steel platen is probably from a 1970's or 80's sander but the arm and base are both dark gray,possibly from before 1960. The original serial tag was missing , so I replaced it with another tag that had had the stamping rendered illegible. This whole puzzle will be powered from a repulsion start Delta motor from the early 1940's just to make it worse.When I get a stand to fit this mutt I am morally certain it will sand just as well as one with a pedigree.
