My Father bought this lathe in the 50's, probably from L. E. Woodworth of Bellevue, OH. as he has this letter from Barnes to Mr. Woodworth. According to the letter Mr. Woodworth was looking to buy the 104 tooth gear for the lathe. I don't think he ever got it because I remember one summer we spent all summer driving around looking for this gear. We lived near Bellevue, Ohio and I remember driving to Detroit looking for it. He must have found it as I have two of them. One is like new and the other one was very professionally welded but never ground out. I have everything that came with the lathe, including the steady-rest and the wrenches, except the cast legs and treadle.
