This jointer was purchase from Daniel Construction Co of LaGrange. Daniel has been in business 60 years or more and at one time had a lumber company and wood shop. They closed the wood shop 13 -14 years ago. I bought this jointer (along with other equipment) in May of 08. I check with Ron Smith and he had the records showing the sale of this jointer to Daniel Lumber co in October of 1947. I don't think it had been moved since it was installed. It must have been fairly well maintained and had the bearings replaced sometime shortly before the shop closing. I cleaned, painted, replaced belts, knifes, polished and cleaned bolts, replace guard and lubed. Runs great.
