This saw came from Va, a craigslist find by my brother for $100. The saw belonged to the sellers father who passed away, it was stored in a shed where the roof blew off, so it saw quite a bit of rain. The table was solid rust, as was the spring tube, and most of the exposed non painted parts. MaryKate hull cleaner did a great job disolving the rust, and a wire brush took care of the rest.
This saw has the variable speed drive which works well. The mechanics are real tight too, no play at all. Thanks Bob Vaughn for all your helpful posts on what to check on these old saws. Only thing that needs a bit more work are the steel trunions under the table, they were banged up quite a bit, and I haven't gotten them completely straight yet.
