I found this saw at a "Garage Sale". The owners wanted $25 for it which I readily agreed to pay. I really had not set out to buy a band saw that day, so I was driving my Saturn coupe, which necessitated taking the saw apart into the major assemblies to get it in the car. While I was dis-assembling the saw for transport the owner told me the saw had been purchased new by his father and it was used to butcher deer and to the best of his knowledge it had never cut anything but meat and bone. After his father passed away the saw was stored in his basement for 20+ years and he just wanted to move it out. As with most of these saws, a full restoration is in the works even though the saw was working as found.
Since I do metalwork more than woodwork I will need to add a jack shaft to slow the blade speed down.
