This saw was a freebie! A neighbor had it sitting outside, uncovered, for at least a year. I've never rebuilt anything like this, but some great tips from you folks got me started. After removing a lot of rust, completely dismantling it, and putting it back together with all new bearings, guide blocks and tires, it runs great. I didn't bother painting it because I kind of like the "old steel" look. I have to say I'm really impressed that the brand new Delta riser block kits still fit perfectly on these old saws! I fabricated a very effective dust port for it that didn't involve cutting any holes in the machine. I will include a picture of that. Thanks so much for all the help.
PS If anyone else rescues one of these from the outdoors, be sure not to skip removing the lower wheel and drive shaft. There was standing water inside the cavity of the lower casting that never evaporated, even after sitting in my shop for several months.
