Found via our ever-popular Craigslist, this Planer is in remarkable condition for it's age. The paint may even be original. There is some old red under the bed, but I think it may just be primer. It is quite obviously part of the Famous line made by Sidney Tool Co. although the Sidney badge has been removed and the William H. Field badge has been put in it's place. If you look very carefully at the badge there is a tiny "RE" between the FIELD and the BUILT. So it was at sometime "William H. Field re-Built". Quite the adventure getting it home as it is my heaviest piece of OWWM by about three-fold. I think it tops the scale at about 1400 lbs.
