THIS MACHINE IS NOT FOR SALE, DON'T ASK, AND NO I DO NOT WANT TO TRADE YOUR ITEM "X" FOR IT. THIS IS NOT A SALES FORUM AND I DO NOT HAVE MACHINERY FOR SALE HERE..
I picked this up locally at an RV/Boat shop repair garage, for all of $60.00. It had been with the same firm since the '40s. I plan on a "user restoration" asap. Missing one maple handle, but I do have a replacement, turned by Neil Bellenger of Rochester, NY. A replacement "Buffalo" sticker for the data plate that has been rubbed away was provided by Marc Doxin, of the Boston(?)area, MA. I have rec'd "born on date" info & "dirty paper" from the follow on firm that has taken over everything Bfl Forge, which is now "Buffalo Machine Tools" of Lockport, NY seen here: http://www.owwm.com/mfgindex/detail.aspx?id=130
This was one sweet press when I first spotted it and I look forward to making this my "metal only" dp. It has become my wood only dp with an aftermkt deck from Rockler. The wooden accessory tray seen below, seemed like a good idea at the time but I am discovering that it is too small of an area for most dp related things and those things, ie-measuring tape, swarf brush, clamps, hold downs, just slide off. Some sort of solution for that problem will soon be applied, perhaps a complete replacement. Stay tuned...
