Comments:
I purchased this from Ed Hobbs. It is one of Henry Beach's Celebrated Scroll Saw it has the tilting table top. The orginal table is missing, along with a lot of the top half saw is missing. The whole bottom half is present. One very unqiue thing was that the Pittman arm is made of Ash, the table is made of Hard Maple orginally, and inside the flat belt pulley was ash that acted possible as a clutch/brake. And the top half of the pittman arm where the action slides up through the yoke it is also made of ash. There is a brake on the front, you use the pedal, but the action is duplicated through to the pulley. The pulley has brozen sleeve bearings, and the arbor runs on what looks like the orginal Babbitts.
