I have a large Delta Band Saw in my shop that was given to me by my father. I know absolutely nothing about machinery but I'm trying to find someone who can tell me about what this machine is worth. All I can tell you is that it was made by Delta/Rockwell probably in the early 1950's, since my dad closed his woodshop around 1960. It stands 79" tall and the base of it is so heavy it warped the tailgate on my Ford Ranger when I moved it into my shop. It looks to be in excellent condition. It was being used by a friend of my dads in a cabinet shop when I received it. The serial number is 116-7621. I called Delta but they said that number didn't come up in their computer. I'm submitting a pic, but I had to turn my camera sideways to get all of the machine in the viewfinder without standing a long ways off. Can anyone give me any idea how much this saw is worth?
